Just droping by to let all of yall know that it looks like Alabama might be joining the SaberWars Community soon.I have 4 people To start off and right now we are building the site up.Just thought yall should know that the South will be having its first Saberwars Community.yay!

Class was pretty cool today, minus my Gnarly headache at the begining of Class. I wanted to thank Caine for traveling through hyperspace all the way from Hollister to come hang out with us and teach us Vapaad and Juyo.

Also a big thanks to everone who showed up today. Hope everyone had a wicked good time at the Moobie after class.

MAY 2009 SCHEDULE:

Hello Padawans, Jedi and Sith!

Sorry for the short notice, but we are pushing this Saturday’s (April 25th) daytime class back just one week to Saturday may 2nd due to a mix up by, well, ME!

We have a guest instructor, Caine Drathul, coming down to teach us some Kali Eskrima the very next weekend, Saturday, May 2nd from 1-3pm.

He had booked the date months ago but when I scheduled the end of the month class for April in late March, I was not thinking about the month of May and didn’t realize it was so close to the following weekend that was already set.

I don’t want to lower his turnout, as he is driving 300 miles from Hollister, CA to join us, so I figured we should just wait a week rather than split people between two back-to-back weekends.

Kali Eskrima (Also spelled Escrima- it’s regional!) is a Philipino Martial art using one and/or two rattan sticks that are almost as big as a lightsaber. Learning some Eskrima will advance your lightsaber skills- it helps knowing some moves!
