- Well, I'm willing to argue I'm the biggest Star Wars and Comic Book Geek in Nebraska! Seriously, I'm 6'2" and weight around 500 lbs. :)

What's kind of freaky is I've started to listen to some Country Music while driving out in the Western U.S., it's about the only kind of radio station that's easy to find.

- Don't know, I loved it as a kid and found it again in high school while sitting in hospitals when my brother was getting cancer treatments. Just finally had time to take a break from sports and other high school crap.

Going back to work!
Well, I went to the doctor in Omaha on Tuesday. I had 4cc of saline put in the lapband and can feel a little more restriction, still not much though. I can't go back for at least two more weeks before more is added. I did get the all clear to return to work though!
I called my supervisor at work and told him I'll be coming back. He was nice enough to inform me my position was going to be cut when I returned. He had put up another foreman while I was off and doesn't need 2…

I'm just not filling much restriction when I eat. They said that it would be too earlier after the operation and to keep my regular appointment.

It must be working
Went to my regular doctor for a the two week check up after the surgery. I've lost 29lbs since i began, I'm now at 475lbs. I haven't really started working out yet, haven't done much more then I used to. I've even probably started on solid foods earlier then I should. I've had no problems much restriction. There was one day I tried some rice and it didn't work though. I can't wait to get my first fill on the lap band in Feb. Then I'll be able to go to work and can afford to make it to the gym.… Continue

Going good
All is going well with the lap band surgery. Went to the doctors on the 12th and don't have to go back until Feb 9th. Kind of sucked to drive all the way to Omaha just to have him tell me to come in on Feb 9th and take a brief glimpse at the incisions. I'm able to start eating soft foods now too.

Too late to turn back now!
My mother and I went to Omaha a day early. I had to be at the hospital around 5:30 am and didn't feel like driving 3+hrs in the morning. The hospital has a Hospitality House for people to stay at and it's real cheap too. You can also cook your own food as long as you clean up after yourself. I also took my mom to see Avatar again. Wanted to see it without the 3D but they theatre messed up on their times and would have waited a long time to get to see it. They let us watch the 3D version for… Continue
